In preparation for the release of Microsoft Office 2007, which contains Microsoft Publisher 2007, I have been spending increasing amounts of time with the new release.
Veteran Publisher users as well as newcomers to Publisher will find the upgrade to Publisher 2007 very much worthwhile. Ease of use has been significantly enhanced, making it easier than […]

I was originally very impressed when I first encountered Designers Who Blog, I’m even more impressed with the partner site, www.no-spec.com.
The site is a “mission” site educating designers to resisted frequently encountered prospect pleas to “just work up a few designs for us” and “we’ll go on from there.”
Except that, frequently, there is […]

There’s more to recycling than separating tin cans and glass from the rest of your home’s garbage.
Content, too, should be recycled. Each time you create a newsletter, for example, you can recycle the topic by expanding it into articles, blog posts, chapters of a book, e-books, presentations, teleseminars, webinars, web site content, and worksheets. Learn […]

Often, some the best books–in terms of content–are the hardest to read. Exceptions do occur, of course, and one of the best combinations of content and style is Robert Bringhurst’s The Elements of Typographic Style.
In many ways, this is the perfect book. The writing style is engaging, the content is organized and concisely presented, […]

David Meerman Scott, my guest on a recent Guerrilla Marketing Association call recently reviewed Design to Sell. In his review, David concentrated on my book’s emphasis on the book’s “universal principles” of design, rather than the book’s utility for Microsoft Publisher users.
David is no stranger to taking a new look at a familiar […]
